“Gemelli”

Statuario Venato Marble - 50x80x25cm

Born from the same inspiration as the study of twins Jackson and Landon, Gemelli serves as a sculptural evolution of that original pose. Conceived as a second movement in this exploration of vulnerability, the two boys are once again depicted swaddled in blankets—but here, the forms are rendered as cocoons.

The figures are tightly bound, their shapes smoothed into chrysalis-like vessels that suggest a state of profound transformation. While the initial sculpture celebrated the immediate connection of newborns, Gemelli shifts the focus to the potential and protection required for life to flourish. The cocoon serves as a dual symbol: a sanctuary of growth and a fragile barrier against an external world.
